F*** me…
Only 5 more hours!!! >-)
Hi,
Could someone chance me please?
ACT - 34 (34M, 35E, 34R, 31S)
Superstore - (35M, 35E, 34R, 34S)
My school doesn’t provide a GPA, but I was in the top 1% in my state
I’m from India
ECs - taken a bunch of online classes, prefect at my school (one of the top leadership positions), head of quiz club, attended NASA program, cultural exchange in Italy, had a job in IT department of a loan firm, worked at an NGO for a year ( I’ve taken a gap year) where I taught computer skills, and a few other minor things
Major - CS
I’ve put up Undeclared as my second choice
Another question: if I don’t get into CS, which is highly likely, will undeclared be good enough?
Thanks xx
@ub1997 You will get a 100% accurate chance me in 4 hours. Just let it happen.
@infiniteCircle I know. The only reason I’ve posted here is because I’m anxious. It’s almost midnight where I live and I’m unable to sleep
@ub1997 You seem a pretty good applicant but what is the point of a chance post at this time? The decision’s already made and you will receive it soon. There’s no point fretting and worrying at this point
What are the most competitive engineering majors at UIUC ? I know for a fact CS, mechanical and material is top , how about bioengineering ?
3:51:21 remaining!!!
@countdownmadness nice!!! How’d u get that lots of data?
Clear something for me which is more competitive at UIUC computer engineering or computer science? I mean the statistics in all posts mention computer science. So it just an error or they are in fact for computer science?
Also have you applied for computer science or computer engineering ?
Up through last year, BioE was the most competitive major for admissions due to a strictly capped (by lab space) enrollment and plenty of applications. They have room for fewer than 75 new students per year. The average ACT score is also the highest, at least through last year.
CS passed CE several years ago in selectivity. There are far more applicants for CS, and their average ACT scores and GPAs are higher.
@YZamyatin You always have a good knowledge on statistics . Can you please inform me about the selection percentage and average ACT for Computer Engineering?
Anyone still up ?
The force grows stronger in this thread. Hello potential Illini xD
my head aches
but
i aint sleeping xD
Hello! It is my first decision , so I am pretty anxious ! But still it is a consolation to know there are our still other decisions which may swing in our favour if we unfortunately do not get into this competitive school! Right?
Neither am I. I’m looking at pictures of the campus xD
@tiwari124 ABSOLUTELY TRUE. You will get into some place and that place will be the one for you. I’m already through with 4 decisions but i totally get how you feel. When i was waiting for UGA to release decisions i was so anxious. And when they finally did and I was informed that I was accepted I started bawling even though it wasnt my top choice haha!
All the best everyone
@pallavijaniani Congratulations on all the acceptances. It is pretty exciting specially I guess from a perspective of an International , it is finally a concrete decision after two whole years of uncertainty ! Best of luck for this decision , must be one of the important ones right? Though I saw you were pretty firm on Boston University. Best of luck for that also! Post your decisions once they are out . I guess In India only CC will be available for us to celebrate or console us at that odd hour!
