UIUC vs Cal Poly SLO

<p>two questions:</p>

<p>I just want some opinions...</p>

<ol>
<li><p>ignoring money differences and other subjectivities, which school has the better Electrical/ computer engineering and comp sci/ software engineering over all? in terms of prestige, better reputation to employers etc.</p></li>
<li><p>Which one is harder to get into for engineering/comp sci? which one has the smarter people is what i mean.</p></li>

Obispo- 25th percentile 1120 75th percentile 1320</p>

<p>Urbana-Champane- 25th percentile 1230 75th percentile 1440</p>

<p>UIUC has more prestige. If you are not concerned about money or anything, then UIUC wins here. UIUC is harder to get in and has people with higher stats…but that’s not what you should base your college decision on…Both are on the same level academically…</p>
