<p>They are both ranked top 5 by US news for MSE...but GIT has a higher overall ranking than UIUC (abt 9 spots higher)
Is major ranking more impt than overall ranking? Which sch is a better place to go for studying MSE? And juz wondering, how come UIUC is abt 40+ on the overall ranking when its MSE program is ranked 2nd...the info seems a bit contradicting to me...thanks loads:)</p>
