UIUC VS UCSD

Hey! I am deciding on two colleges to go to for electrical engineering: UIUC and UCSD. Both are very well known for their engineering program, and I believe a EE degree from either college will present me the options to find a job or continue to Post-Grad engineering. It’s just a matter of choosing which college would fit me more. Also, I am a CA resident. Regardless of cost, which university would be a better fit?

What are you looking for in a school?
UIUC is in a rural area, but is considered to have a really fun college town. When visiting we went to a sold out basketball game, so we saw lots of happy students filled with school spirit.

UIUC is in a college town and it’s a Big 10 school. So it u r into tailgating and watching football and basketball games, it’s the school for you. If you like warm weather and being in/close to a big city, then UCSD is more of your type.

Sorry my friend, but cost always matters. Sit down with your parents, or whoever it is who will be helping you pay for your education, and talk about the money. What would be given up or not done if you choose the more expensive place? What would become possible to do or have if you choose the cheaper one?

And, of course, do you already have the winter gear needed for UIUC? Lots of CA residents don’t.
