Well I'm here deciding between these two colleges.
I got into Thurgood Marshall (late night food!) for UCSD

I'm a bit split on how i should decide.
UIUC just recently offered me (12k x 4 years) if i maintain a 3.0 gpa (not too difficult... i think)
plus i got into their honors program

but that's about it. the total costs for UIUC will be about 44k (nonresident) + (22k (declare residency) x 3 years) = 110kish

I bet there are scholarships and other things I can earn when I get there. But for now that's what I have for UIUC

UCSD on the other hand, I didnt get a regeants :( and no honors program or anything. I'm still waiting for a revised financial aid package.
But it should be 7.88k from Cal Grant
+ ~10k UCSD grant
and maybe a work study (hopefully)
+ my parents efc (~5k)
would cover my whole college + boarding costs

Total costs over 4 years: ~23k times 4 = 92k?

So the problem is I still can't decide.
Can anyone help me with this?

I like both of their academic programs. mmm maybe San Diego might have the best weather in the world. And i just talked to someone from UIUC who tells me that the summers are very hot and humid, and the winters are shockingly freezing.

I plan to study in a field of Biology. Haven't decided which part though.

--i posted this on the ucsd forum too just to get more opinions
