UIUC vs. UIowa

These universities are SO BIG that I can't compile all the information I need to make a sound judgement, so I'm asking students directly for their input.

Things to be aware of:
a) I am not going into any STEM majors (though I may do digital art and computer science).
b) I am most likely going into business and/or creative writing or communications (radio, television, film).
c) I've been admitted to Iowa honors, which is a plus for me to go there rather than UIUC.

I appreciate any information and opinions.
Also, how is the film scene at each of these universities? I know Iowa has Bijou, but UIUC has Ebertfest, IFV, and VAMP. Anyone involved in these?
And most importantly, how is UIUC English, creative writing, and communications and media in comparison to Iowa (I know Iowa's cw rep is legendary, but in case I do choose UIUC, I want to make sure UIUC's rep is respectable in the areas of study mentioned above).

Misc: Opinion on facilities (gyms, theaters, etc.) and atmosphere (gardens, parks, architecture, etc.)?

For Iowa students: Is anyone dorming in Daum? Is anyone doing the Living-Learning Communities?

Thanks :)

UIUC has far more areas that are excellent while Iowa has fewer.

I’ve had daughters at both schools. Oldest graduated from Iowa in '11. Honors at Daum, Tippie Scholar, and Marketing Institute. Hired right out of college. Marvelous Hawkeye experience! Yougest daughter presently soph. at UIUC. Lives at Allen Hall, Unit One LLC. Also having a first class experience. Loves being at UIUC. Iowa still recovering from flood that ruined Hancher auditorium. UIUC has Krannert. Tough decision for you to make. It may come down to your color preference: Do you like Black & Gold, or Orange and Blue?

Haha, actually, neither combo appeals to me. I am most likely going to enter the business of entertainment (production, management with experience in screenwriting and the creative process), so which school caters to that more? Looks like it’s UI, with Bijou, Cab, KRUI, Scope, SVP… It also looks like UIUC is more film theory, history, and culture and media business while UI is media business and screenwriting, film analysis.

Cakewalk, have you ever thought of going to the Visual Arts Forum here on CC? Here’s the link. Asking there will get you the most informed opinions and searching through the existing threads will illicit a goldmine of information.
