Does anyone have any recommendations for Universities in the UK that have good Peace and Conflict Studies/International Relations courses?

or Political Science

Oxford has PPE (Politics, Philosophy, and Economics), which is a great course to study if you're interested in going into conflict mediation. I should know, that's what I want to do. =) Hope that helped!

Thanks for the reply! I'm also looking into conflict mediation, but I'm not too sure about my chances of admission to Oxford. Do you have any other suggestions?

My list is Princeton (Woodrow Wilson School), Georgetown SFS, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, Carolina...

There's a list called Inside the Ivory Tower that ranks the twenty best undergrad schools to study international relations. Here it is:

1 Harvard
2 Princeton
3 Stanford
4 Georgetown
5 Columbia
6 Yale
7 U Chicago
8 Berkeley
9 Dartmouth
10 George Washington
11 American
12 U Michigan
13 Tufts
14 Swarthmore
15 UC San Diego
16 Cornell
17 Brown
18 Williams
19 Duke
19 Johns Hopkins

I think that's pretty comprehensive, don't know how accurate it is though.

Sorry it took so long to get back!

I've heard that St. Andrews had a mega-great international relations program.

Peace studies? sounds like reheated Marxist pap to me. Stick with international relations.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this, but thank you all for responding. As for St. Andrews-- I have heard from some that their academics aren't that great and the school is only known for Prince Williams, and then there are some who say that the academics are of excellence. Your opinion?
