ok so i am african american and i have a 3.714 uw 4.23w gpa for my cummalitive GPA if i end my junior year strong(which i will) but my UM recalculated GPA would be a 3.2, because i messed up sophemore year :-(. If i have good Ec's and if i do really good on my SAt....do u think i have a shot?

From the information that youve given id say that UofM is a reach...your recalculated gpa really hurts you here...

can you tell us if you are instate vs out of state, what kind of classes your taking (Any ap/IB/honors) and what score you consider to be "really good" on your sat?

edit: nvm...i looked at your previous posts and you say that youre OOS and have all AP/honors...w/ this new info id still say that your still probably a reach for UofM...while having all those tough courses helps...being OOS means that you have to compete vs. a tougher applicant pool...

I'd say you have a very good shot, actually. Even with the somewhat low GPA, if you can get a decent SAT, you should be able to get in.

yea i had a 3.9 freshman year but they don't count it

GPA looks like it will be OK if you keep it up. Do well on the SAT/ACT and you will be fine, that's what I did.
