I was accepted to both UM and FSU and I plan on majoring in Advertising. I am still unsure about which school I should choose. I like UM’s program better, but I live in the area so I would be a commuter student and living at home. I feel I will not have the college experience if I live at home. I like FSUs atmosphere and social life better than UM’s since I will not be living at home, but the advertising program at FSU is not as strong as UMs. Which one should I choose?

Pick between what’s more important to you, a college education or a college experience. FSU is well-ranked too, of course, but it doesn’t hold a candle to UMich. Besides, you could always live on-campus if you can bear the expense. It’ll be better for you cause the tuition will anyway be in-state, I’m guessing?

I was talking about the University of Miami. but thank you for the advice it helped a lot! @IBgal3

Haha, silly me, I simply assumed because I’m going in for advertising this fall too, and UMich was on my list for the longest time.

But the same concept applies here: education vs experience. Pick wisely!
