UMass Amherst Class of 2025 Early Action

Has anyone who has been accepted received a package in the mail? We haven’t received anything.

I was accepted in early December and I have not. I do not believe UMass Amherst sends any mail regarding acceptances/financial aid.

No, I think I read somewhere that they don’t send mailed packets- I can’t remember where though.

Omg this is sooo frustrating when will we get the decision

I was accepted a little while ago. Does anyone know of any UMass Amherst early action GroupMe’s and/or social media pages?

I emailed admissions. Honors college is top 5 to 10 percent of each major. They recommended an appeal letter if a student is interested in honors college acceptance for the start of their freshman year.

Congrats !! Can you share your stats and major ?
Did you receive an email ?

Decisions came out!!

ugh i still havent heard, do you think there will be more decisions released this week

Congrats ! you got a email ? can you share your stats and major?

Yes there was email. I got waitlisted from nursing. I had a 3.8 and went test optional. I also read in an email they sent me to that 42,000 kids applied and only 5,000 get accepted

Just received the news that I got waitlisted, obviously disappointed but glad I can stop obsessing over the portal.

do we think anymore acceptances will be released from here on out? or just waitlists?

Offered waitlist for Isenberg. Wasn’t my son’s first choice, but glad decision was finally posted. Last school to get response for EA.

I got wait listed for nursing. 1360 SAT and 98 gpa. Pretty bummed because my stats are on the higher end for umass, but I’m pretty sure nursing is more competitive. Although umass said their average SAT for nursing is 1360, but I heard things are different this year. Just worried I won’t get into any schools considering umass was one of my easier ones😭 I wish I wasn’t a nursing major

Waitlisted OOS Computer Science
4.08 GPA / 33 ACT

My daughter offered waitlist
Computer Science
In-state
W gpa 4.3
No test scores

Sorry for those who were waitlisted. I really don’t understand why not just UMass but so many colleges don’t expand their programs for nursing. Isn’t there a nursing shortage? Wouldn’t we all benefit as a society from having more young people go into nursing. Sigh…

Curious for those of you who were waitlisted due to competitive majors did you put down a second choice major?

Good luck to everyone!

42,000 applicants for EA and only 5,000 accepted - that is ~12% acceptance rate. Not sure how that compares to prior years, but seems like an awfully low acceptance rate for UMass…

Hi Peachpie9, My daughter found out yesterday that she was waitlisted for Nursing. She did not choose a second major because a Nursing career is what she wants to pursue. She was very disappointed. She had a 5.1 GPA weighted, #3 in her class of 330, President of the National Honor Society, Varsity Basketball captain, Capt of her math team, soccer for 4 years, lots of clubs…Also scored a 1490 on her SAT. I think it is unfortunate that her application was read in the last batch of applications. I think she had the stats to get in. It was her #1 choice…
