My daughter heard today, she received an email to check the portal.
She was accepted to the honors college and $16k merit.

We are on vacation and my DD managed to forget her computer, so she can only check her email but not the portal… did everyone receive an email? Did parents receive an email? (Some colleges send emails to parents, as well)… I am getting anxious:((

Has anyone who has gotten a response in one of these first 3 waves been rejected? I have only seen acceptances. (UMass does not defer to the regular admission pool. They only accept, reject, or place a small number of students on a waitlist.)
will decisions be released next week as well? or would we have to wait until january because of the holiday?
I think January, but I would love to be wrong!
Couple of days ago, my friend called the admissions office to confirm the receipt of a document they told her, decisions will be released through the end of the year and into January. Hope we hear more decisions in the forthcoming days.
Update on 12/22: UMass Amherst has responded to my query in Twitter. “The next batch will be released in January”
You mean, there might be more decisions released between now (12/22) and 1/1? That would be nice. Maybe 12/28 to keep with the Tuesday theme?
Has the Tuesday release date been a thing for many years? maybe they will release every day instead this year. I wonder how long they have been doing that for.
My daughter got an email 12/21 at 3:18 pm to check her portal and was admitted as a Biology Major. The waiting was brutal since a lot of her friends found out 2 weeks ago on 12/7.

UMass Admissions accounts on Instagram and Twitter posted earlier today that they released 3800 yesterday and the next batch will be in January.
