@christmas1999 @mkcblackberry I just looked at the decision thread from last year, and all the nursing applicants were accepted in the first batch, on the first day they released decisions. Maybe this means we won’t have to wait as long as I thought? Fingers crossed!
@ygo432 oh hopefully! that would be so so nice! good luck!!!
@ygo432 How about CAS? My major is political science.
I am very worried that I won’t get in. I’m OOS and am applying for sport Management in Isenberg. I have a 1340 SAT 3.66 UW 5 APs among other things. A lot of my friends have gotten in but I haven’t yet.
@Joezzzzz I believe political science was released near the beginning last year. However, it seems like the pattern is very different this year. Last year, in-state decisions were released at the beginning, which they aren’t this year. All of the majors that were accepted first last year haven’t been accepted yet this year, and all of the ones that have been accepted this year were late last year. Wish it was more predictable.
But here’s the link to last year’s decisions if anyone wants to take a look: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/university-massachusetts-amherst/1934518-umass-amherst-2021-decision-thread-p1.html
I’m in-state applied undecided end of october. 100 kids from my HS applied and no one has heard back yet. I really hope they send out decisions soon!
A bunch of people in my high school applied and I’ve only heard of one person who has gotten in (but they are OOS so that partially explains it) but most of us are instate and we are all anxiously waiting!!
what part of MA has umass gotten back to so far ?
@stitch824 I don’t know, but not in Norfolk County, we haven’t heard back anything yet.
Nobody in Bristol County has heard either
I just got accepted around 4:30 this past afternoon!!! I am instate in Hamden county, I applied for Kinesiology. I didn’t get into the honors college like I was hoping, but I’m happy to get into my first choice major!

@benl54321 Do not worry I have seen people with less then you get in and not getting accepted in the first wave means nothing I have seen people go back as far as late january and get accepted
Any in-state today, also any Engineering majors accepted in-state or out of state?
@leapyearG Engineering instate too, How competitive is engineering do you know?
@lacobus just from past threads it seems very competitive and they don’t come out till later. So in-state and engineering should be a long wait, but I can’t help but keep checking.
