<p>Umass has been my one of my favorite choices. I'm very interested in journalism, and their department has what I'm interested in. Anybody have inside info? I hear a lot about budget cuts. Should I be concerned?</p>
<p>The journalism program here is very good, I have many friends in it and they all enjoy it. The student newspaper, the Daily Collegian is popular and very easy to write for. And yes, the college (Along with virtually every other college) is experiencing budget cuts. The Collegian is also getting hit hard in terms of funding, but it’s still doing fine.</p>
<p>How soon can you get into the major?</p>
