So I have been accepted into the engineering program for these three schools, and I was wondering which school has the best to offer. I have received scholarships from Syracuse and UVM, and I am instate for Umass so the tuition is already cheap; however, paying for college will not be an issue. All the schools are great, but also have some things that aren’t the greatest. I must also mention that I did not get into the Umass Amherst Honors College, so that may change someone’s opinion? All the campuses are absolutely beautiful, but I don’t have an exact idea about student life there. I want to be able to have fun on and maybe off campus, be able to meet new people. I really like the sports scene at Syracuse, but I have heard it is also extremely greek life. I don’t have a problem with that but I have no idea if that makes it harder to meet friends or anything like that. Please let me know what you think, and try your best not to be bias. Thank you!
I’d think SU and Vt trump UMass.
Burlington and the surrounding area is 1000 times nicer than Syracuse.
I know Burlington is nice, but I also want the best engineering education with the best people to meet to, ya know? I’m going to be visiting all of them but still very unsure.
U Vermont goes out of contention as UMass and Syracuse have much higher academic reputation. as for UMass and Syracuse, that is one decision I am making right at this instant.
