UMass Fee Hike Removed

Yay!!! The United States has given $162 million of federal stimulus money to the Massachusetts Public Education System (Umass, State colleges, community colleges).

The proposed $1500 fee hike won't be taking place and UMass tuition will be closer to how much it should be. I hope the state does more to help UMass attract great students, provide an excellent education, remain affordable, and remain competitive with other top public universities.

Yessssssss.

Thank You, Mr. President.

I heard that it’s not removing the fee hike for everyone. My understanding is that it’s a need based thing

No, they will be uniform-not need based. I’m not sure whether they will actually be eliminated but they will be slashed alot - perhaps to ~$300.
