UMass MS CS vs ASU MCS

I am international student trying for masters.

Main preference is internship opportunities over research
and cost matters

which do you suggest among the two.

Both schools are fine for CS. However every application will ask do you need to be sponsored for employment. At most organizations in the US, this is where you will stumble.

You have better odds in CS than other majors but finding a US internship will not be easy no matter where you go.

For an internship as an international student, you need to use CPT/OPT. Those require you to study full time for 2 semesters before you can intern. Also there are other requirements from your college as well as USCIS. This limits the employers who can hire you as an intern.

Yes internship is hard to find, but comparatively Umass or Asu is preferred?

There probably won’t be much difference in the ability to get internships.

I would think that for someone seeking a masters degree that course offerings would be the most important factor in choosing between the schools. Have you looked at these?

Just curious - have you been accepted to both or are you just trying to decide where to apply?

Both have well-regarded CS programs. Employment, especially internships, are often regionally focused. Check the career center websites for both universities.
