MSU or ASU for Computer Science undergraduate?

Have got acceptance letters for both MSU and ASU (Computer Science). Which one is better from career and internship purpose. Also if someone can give guidance from overall perspective. Anything will be helpful

I assume Michigan Stare ? Not Miss State ?

Both fine. Go where is best for u

It would help to specify which MSU and ASU.

Mississippi State versus Alabama State?

Missouri State versus Arkansas State?

Midwestern State versus Alcorn State?

Also, are both affordable?

Michigan state University and Arizona State University

I still say comparable  what’s the right fit for you? Cost and comfort.

There’s likely more tech in Phoenix than Michigan but both will be heavily recruited - and not all CS is necessarily employed by a purely tech company.

Do you have a favorite? That’s where you should be.

No big difference between the two schools for CS. I’d look at the class offerings for each school and see if one offers a selection of classes that look more interesting.

If you see yourself living out west after graduation, then ASU would be the better school. If you want to be in the Midwest, then MSU.

Thanks but any Idea which area has better job prospects for internship etc. I am an international student and have no knowledge of the areas involved

Michigan State University gets great recruits as my son goes there (engineering). They benefit from being close to UM Ann Arbor so recruits will pass by both schools.

At both schools you will have to do your research and work for the internships. Both are a great brand…

What’s the cost for each? To me that’s important … we are international by the way

If you are international - a few things:

  1. Most companies will not sponsor you - so you may in fact need to go home to intern. My son majors in engineering, fills out a ton of job apps, and that’s always on the job app. You’ll also likely have to go home after.

  2. Do you like cold? Michigan is very cold (in Winter) - ASU will be mild in winter and scorching hot early and late in the school year.
