Which school has a better premed program for medical school?
Which school has a easier science program?
You can get into med school from either of these places.
Contact the pre-med advisor or coordinator at each, and ask about theor programs. What do most of the pre-med students major in? When the time comes to take the MCAT, what kind of scores do the pre-meds tend to have? Of the pre-meds who do decide to apply to med school, and who really do have the profile to be good candidates, what percentage get into medical school the first time they apply?
If you decide against med school at some point, which of these two universities offer other programs that would be interesting to you?
Have you heard anything about these institutions?
And thanks
Happykid graduated from Towson, and has friends who graduated from UMBC. Truly, you need to visit both and see what you think about them. Happykid refused to apply to UMBC because she hated the campus and thought it looked dead late in the day. Our neighbor’s kid who went to UMBC loved it there, and wasn’t bothered at all by the fact that so many people left every weekend. To quote that student, “Everyone who doesn’t go home for the weekend, comes by my dorm, and we’re never bored.”
