Anyone have any experience with this? Or second-hand knowledge? I'm wondering about admission statistics and/or the likelihood of this. I'd be an engineering transfer.

Senior Year? Like you're a Senior in college and want to transfer to UMich? Impossible, you can't do it, not for any school. They want students to have at least 2 years at their school, and you cannot (and I emphasize "cannot") give up credits to qualify.

No. I'm not a senior. I will be a senior next year.

Oh really, they want students to have atleast 2 years?

What is the 60-hour rule?
The College of Engineering does not limit to 60 the number of credits an admitted student can transfer to the College. All courses will be evaluated to determine their equivalency, and all usable transferable courses will be accepted. Please note: The College of Engineering requires 128 credit hours to complete a degree; 30 of the last 36 credit hours must be completed here in the College.

Thanks for your great insight.

Anyone have any knowledge of admission statistics?

most schools require 60 hours. It looks like the College of Engineering doesn't. Maybe call to make sure, but it sounds like you should give it a shot.

Some schools do not ask that you relinquish credits; they simply require that you do at least two years there. So if I transfers, he will be doing an extra year at UMich.

Edit: I love the sound of conviction in your post; for it makes it a tad more hilarious when someone posts a refutation.

You just need to be aware of the residency rule. Some colleges require two years of attendance, while some require less.
