UMich Ballad: 32 bar ok?

<p>Ok, so here is my little dilemma:</p>

<p>For my ballad, I have an awesome 32 bar cut… it really only works for a piece if I do the full 32 bars instead of cutting it down to 16. I know for Ithaca they would only let me do 16 so it eventually hurt me in the long run… does anyone know how strict UMich is? Did anyone get to do 32 bars for their ballad? If you could let me know, that would rock, since I would probably end up changing the song if that is the case!</p>

<p>in the audition confirmation email, i think it specifically asks to remember the song cuts. They want 16 bars for the ballad and 32 for the up-tempo. :( i think you should follow that to be safe, instead of just being flat out stopped. hope this helps..</p>
