UMICH Law School

Hey guys, i was wondering exactly how competitive it is to get into UMICH law school. i heard that it has a pretty good law school, is competition just as high? ALso, how competitive is it to gain admission to UMich alone, not necessary law school? Is a 90 avg and a few extracurriculars good enough for UMIch? Thanks..

In 2003, Michigan's law school accepted 21.4% of its applicants, the 31st lowest percentage of any ABA accredited school. The 25th percentile point for LSAT for admitted applicants was 163, 14th highest among ABA schools; the 75th percentile for LSAT was 168, 11th highest. The 25th percentile for GPA was 3.43, 17th highest; the 75th percentile for GPA was 3.77, 27th highest amont ABA schools.

It should also be kept in mind that Michigan is technically a public law school, and must therefore accept a certain amount of in-state students. Therefore, in-staters will generally get in with somewhat below the stated medians, and out-staters will generally need numbers somewhat above the stated medians.

Michigan' undergrad admission is also competitive, especially for out-staters.
