Hi, My D is considering double major/degree with BSI and Stamps Arts and Design. She was admitted to UMSI in the preferred admission so she will be going in the school for the junior year. Does anyone have information on the job situation after BSI graduation?
As junior, she wants to take the User Experience Design path. Thanks for sharing.
@dspak77. Congratulations to your daughter.

My sons in engineering but has used one of the main researchers in UMSI as a mentor just because they share the same interest. The researcher /Professor has or does work for Google, Microsoft, Disney, Ford, etc.
I have met a lot of their graduate students a few weeks back. Very nice, fun, creative people.
@Knowsstuff. There is a lot of good information. Little bit off the topic but do you know if UMSI classes (SI 106 or 110) are hard? She achieved 4.3 GPA in the HS but not really too much into science. Thanks again.
No clue. My son’s not UMSI just works with a professor that heads their research.
Michigan’s GPA is unweighted BTW… Also Michigan overall is a very hard school but you knew that when applying. Don’t be surprised that the grade point goes down the first semester or year. To me college is more about learning and understanding and not so much about grade point unless your pre med.
So I just looked these up. These are beginning theory classes per se. Seem pretty basic to me. They are not getting into major programming or anything like that.
She can reach out to one of the graduate students or professor on the syllabus and ask questions… But she should do it. ?.

You can even listen to some of their courses yourself. Si 110 is one of them.
Yes, she should do it. I am doing too much work (and too much worry) for her!
