I was deferred, anyone have any advice for what to do in order to get accepted?
Send a letter of interest to your admission counselor and send in your grades there’s a deferral thread also on cc @potentpajamapartner
so whats inside the welcome packet?? Also, is anyone applying to the LSA honors program?
@ab2020 Mine had a letter of congratulations, Wolverine checklist (next steps), and a UMichigan folder containing a certificate of congrats, invitation to Campus Day in the spring, a pamphlet about internships, pamphlet about MLC (since I applied LSA) and pamphlet about paying for college as a non-resident.
My OOS daughter received her admission packet and the Engineering Leadership Weekend postcard today. Unfortunately, she has a prior commitment that weekend and cannot attend. However, it seems a bit unfair to restrict a program to the first 70 who respond, yet send the invitation by snail mail so that some receive the invitation almost a whole week later than others.
Was wondering what type of questions I can ask my regional counselor to get the conversation going. I applied LSA Political Science.Thanks!!

Receievd a somewhat short mail. The mail was like this. Thank you fir your continued intrest in the university. This info will be added to your application. If you have any additional questions then please contact your teritory counsellor.

My DD received her acceptance package yesterday. She is thrilled to be going to college.

@MVTiger next wave of decisions last year was early February. There is a umich deferral class of 2021 thread you can follow! good luck!
I was not deferred because I did not apply early action, but I think it will be advantageous to follow that for more information. Thank you!
My daughter is about to send her letter of interest - she is not sure whether she can attach to that email some more supplemental materials, like extra letter of recommendation from her employer and college transcripts from some college classes she took

@DBPrincess I think you should send it because I know people who are deferred from harvard who send in extra letters of rec and other stuff. I think it can only help! Good luck!
@Poeny2015 you can email your admission counselor and ask for that award to be added to your application which is then used for merit scholarships. Congrats!
