@DemonNinja you should get your financial aid this month or next depending on when you applied for aid I got mine in Jan and applied in October
I got my first aid total a couple months ago as I also applied in October, but I had only the FAFSA submitted as of then. I then aubmitted the CSS Profile some time in February. Did you already have the CSS Profile filled out by October as well?
@DemonNinja I had the CSS filled out by Dec 1 u need both to be complete
Ah ok makes sense, thank you
Just checked Wolverine Access, got into Ross pre-admit. Applied regular decision mid-December. 31 ACT 4.0 unweighted
How does the Mid-Year Report show up on the “view credentials” tab? Is it a separate category, or is the date for transcript and school report just updated?
@College1235 also applied Ross preferred admission, regular decision, submitted around Jan 20th. How did you gei your decision? Is there an email notification? or where can I find it on Wolverine Access?
@College1235 congrats, when did you receive the acceptance to UMich before admitted to Ross? I also applied Ross but stilling waiting…
@ry200388 For me I was accepted Michigan on February 9th, then accepted Ross March 4th
@bwalts61 when did you submit your app?
I did apply early action. Submitted October 20
@bwalts61 oh so you are deferred in the first place right?
Hey guys ! So I got deferred from early action, so I wanna know how my scores stack up against other students here
ACT Composite - 33
New SAT: Math-770, English -730
SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test -800
SAT Physics Subject Test - 800
High School Average Percentage- 94% (I study in an international system and we use percentages)
So do you guys think I have a chance of getting in with these grades ?
I know co-curriculars are important too, and I’ve got those handled so no problem on that front.
My family has owned a lake property in MI for 20+ years and we spent our summers up there. They have paid Michigan property taxes this whole time so we are essentially paying for Michigan residents to attend in state schools but I won’t be getting in state tuition. Does anyone know if there is any chance we would qualify for in state tuition or if there is anyway to receive in state tuition by living in Michigan for 12+ months?
@llw333 nope
@Maggie1224 @ry200388 Applied to Michigan mid-December, found out February 9th through Wolverine Access and the email came shortly after. Found out from Ross on March 3rd through Wolverine Access by clicking Application Status and then the View Decision link under “Ross Undergrad BBA 2018” or whatever it says. Knew to check because I have a family friend that works in admissions for Michigan and told my Michigan alum sister to tell me to check my email. Email from Ross came shortly after the decision was on Wolverine Access.
@College1235 , Congrats, thanks for sharing, still waiting anxiously…
@Maggie1224 Yes, I was deferred
@llw333 no go…there are laws that state what is in-state and oos for college tuition. Every state is different but there are standards and guidelines, I’m sure your parents already knew that. You have to reside in the state, not just own property otherwise everyone would buy a scap of land and get IS tuition…
Yeah we knew. Just think it’s an interesting topic, especially since we have owned the property for longer than I have been alive. I know many other schools have different policy so just wondering what Michigans was
