I selected three majors as areas of interests on the application, but on wolverine access it says “undeclared” for LSA. Is this normal and can you only apply to a college rather than be selected for a specific major?

@UofMWolverine2020 Great to hear! We visited last summer and all fell in love! It’s my S’ #1 school. If he’ll be offered admission, it’ll boil down to the amount of merit scholarship. Although we don’t qualify for finaid, paying OOS tuition might be a stretch. Do you know what’s the typical merit scholarship amount for OOS students?
Hey guys, I just found this thread and was wondering what a HAIL interview is. Is it only offered to in state applicants or applicants to a specific school. Also has the AO made an actual announcement concerning when decisions will be posted?

@CheekyNandos the HAIL interview as I understand it is only offered to some candidates applying to Michigan’s College of Engineering either in-state or OOS. It’s a short appointment with Michigan alumni to ask questions about a student’s interest and for the student to ask any questions as well.
Also, there hasn’t been any official announcement but a lot of folks feel decisions coming 12/16. Good luck!
@CheekyNandos The HAIL interview is for people applying to the School of Engineering (I am OOS and I received an invite). They send you an email a couple weeks after you submit your application with a link to sign up. If you sign up by the deadline they will assign an interviewer to contact you.
