UMKC 6 year BA/MD - class of 2011

hey md4me - its uw our skol doesnt rank or weight...coool

madame~ you just go to www.actstudent.org to submit your act and collegeboard.com to submit your sat... it's really not a hard process- all you need to have is your credit card, ss#, test date, and other basic info. hope that helped!
btw- how much is a 2000 on the sat in terms of the act??

whats better a 1970 or a 30??

they're pretty much the same guitar

yup- they're practically the same; some scales say 1980=30 and others say 1970=30... so if u want to get reeally picky, i'd say the 30 is ur better score.

I just had a question that should be asked later but I can't wait- how exactly are we supposed to get like $390 000? Does anyone know how much you can get in loans??

Good question. Loans, scholarships (not from the school but yeah), working our butts off? It sure won't be easy.

yea pointless for out of staters

30-40-50 grand a year over the 6 years, not worth it, plus its a state school so theres barely any scholarships and money available

anybody get into the UMKC programs with a ACT <28? (out of state...waiting for results)

compared to other programs how hard is this one? I am in the top 3% of my class, have a 2030 SAT, 5.01 w gpa, hospital volunteering, many clubs, leadership positions, but no interns- will the no interns deny me admission? I am part of a couple honor societies and I am active in my community. Would I even have a chance? Where do the interviews take place?

how many people end up getting accepted into the program?

md4~ the big question is: are you instate or out of state?
Darth: about 100-115

md4me: what's your cr/m combined? your unweighted GPA? how large is your class......what state are you from? and you're Desi, right?

about 110 ppl get accepted. Out of those 15-20 (25 max) are OOS students....straight from their website. OOS students can gain more seats if they're way stronger than in-state kiddoes.

a girl from my school (in state) got in with an ACT of 24 because only like 100 people applied so they all got accepted.

so if the OOS students have stronger stats than the instates (dont mean to offend any instaters), more seats will be given to OOS students?

accordin gto their website...yeah...but i'm assuming this isn't concrete...because...what in admissions is anyway?

hey guys, when im doing the online application, and i put the major 6 year med, i save it but when i go back to review my app, the major disappears. is this normal?

oshkosh - I am out of state (a definate disadvantage)

Aspen D - My cr/m= 1350 and last I checked, my school has upwards of 600 people in my class. My uw is 3.87 and of course I'm desi (hence "md").

yeah- md, I'd say you've got a decent shot (what's the m in md for? ...mixed desi? sry, I'm ignorant bout these things even though i am desi...)

Md4me---I don't understand the MD comment and how it relates to Desiness...I'm with oshkosh on that. I'm Desi and that just throws me.

I'd say you've got a shot, it'll be def harder for some schools...but you know that. :]

At this point, honestly, all we can do it support each othe rmorally and pray...there's nothing else to be done...you know?
