UMKC Pharmacy & BS/MD Program

hi, im going to be a sophmore this year and lots of ppl have been asking me wat i want to do wit my life and i kno i want to do something in the medical field - pharmacy or medicine - i also know that i want to go to UMKC because its in MO so i would be instate which is going to keep my dads wallet happy and they have a great Pharmacy and Med program + its also far and near home (stl). so anyways, this thread is basically for those of you in the BS/MD program and in the Pharm.D program at UMKC.

I plan on having a 3.75 - 3.9 gpa by the end of high school, i am only taking honors science classes and honors english classes (1, 2, and 3, then some easy ******** english classes like mythology and some lit class), i will keep taking the ACT until i have a 29 or 30, the only AP's i will take is Stat and (maybe) Psychology, my only extracurricular activities are Drama club (cast in multiple shows and managing them and whatnot), ITS, and maybe NHS. My only work experience will be a paid internship (at a radioactive chemical company that supplies the chemicals to pharmaceutical companies for research) next summer.

i would like to know wat the chances are of me being accepted into the BS/MD program and the chances of me being accepted into the Freshman Provisional Program for the Pharm.D at UMKC
I would prefer feedback from ppl accepted into these two programs and their stats but all is happily taken.

sumit

i’m desperate here ppl

HELP

come on folks help me out

Ahhhh! Im dyin over here!

bump bump
come on

from what i hear about the bs/md program it is extremely competitive. the selection process consists of multiple rounds including an interview. to be honest, a 30 is probably low for this program–i would shoot for at least a 32 or 33. Also, you should take the most rigorous science curriculum possible, preferably with ap bio and ap chem. additionally the people i know accepted into this program have participated in various volunteering activities at hospitals–that’s something you might want to look into

alright ill keep that in mind

wat about the freshman provisional program for the Pharm.D?

bump bump bump
