umm... what do i bring?

does berkeley send out a list of things you should bring to college, or is that our responsibility. i realize you obviously need to bring your clothes and toiletries, but what about like a chair, is that already provided by the dorm? And is a microwave and a small refrigerator necessary?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

<a href="http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/livingatcal/welcome_to_cal.html#need_for_room%5B/url%5D">http://www.housing.berkeley.edu/livingatcal/welcome_to_cal.html#need_for_room</a></p>

check the thread on what to bring. I think the university has some list sent to students, but i could be wrong . . . how necessary a small fridge or microwave are depend entirely on you and your roommate(s). What each room has in it can be found on the housing site.

Sorry for the OUTBURST.

Chill out and be happy, strykur. San Diego is too beautiful right now for outbursts.

:)

Too bad my house doesn't have AIR CONDITIONING. That and gas is $3.80...

Pshhh . . . so what, it's 75 degrees instead of 72.

:p

$3.80 for 87?

Depends...over in the La Jolla area, gas starts at $4.10...

a quick question, especially for those of you in unit buildings(2), how do you go about getting drinking water, do you buy them or use filter or something

Filters are good. The tap water seemed fine on its own, and many people use it straight.

I bought bottled drinking water. You can also use your points to get water.

thank you :)

im thinking of buying a small fridge to bring. Should I? Also, im not going to use telephone from Berkeley so should I bring one?

I brought a phone; you're paying for the landline anyway and it can be handy sometimes (if you're calling a 510 number, if you need to talk to customer service on a 1800 number and you know it'll take like an hour, etc)

It's handy, and you can always pick one up once you're here.

thanks for the site stryker. one more question, does a triple claker kerr have its own bathroom?
