Umm...Why can't I access the affirmative action thread?

Am I banned?Because that would be real funny. If it's apparently okay to post links to white supremacist websites and say that some races have sub-human intelligence,it should be gaspokay for a black person to defend affirmative action.

…

No one can access it because the mods “moved” it. If you were banned, you wouldn’t be able to post at all. I think you’d get a message saying you’ve been banned, or something of that nature.

I enjoyed our exchange in that thread, and I think much of what you said was insightful and fair. I am opposed to affirmative action, and you have a different opinion. That’s fine – and an opportunity to learn and grow, for both sides. I’m always happy to exchange ideas with another thoughtful and open-minded person. Your conduct was exemplary. If anything, I was the one stepping a bit out of line.

Unfortunately the moderators and administrators of this forum are not so tolerant. I’m pretty sure they are dead-set against affirmative action, and unwilling to hear others’ points of view. I think your comments about racism really hit home. After leaving the thread open for several days and allowing me to post whatever I felt like, they quite suddenly shut it all down when you came to defend affirmative action.

Even though I disagree with you on the topic of affirmative action, I feel this is an unfortunate situation. Just because you feel strongly that affirmative action is good and racism is bad, the mods in this forum have no right to censor you. I’m just as upset as you are. My condolences.

It still exists. Merged into the AA superthread because we get so many of these ridiculous “debates” every week.

^Do you happen to know where it’s located?I want to be ridiculous today ;)

^ somebody’s ready to get wild

set him loose, romangypsyeyes

^^ Look up “affirmative action” on here and go to one of the threads with a LOT of pages. The thread is merged somewhere in one of those.
