Me and my sister filed our FAFSAs this last weekend and there was a minor error in my sisters (regarding my moms education). After she changed it online, she eventually got to the confirmation page and it gave us our confirmation number and such, and then there was a line with her EFC which gave us a number (it was pretty low, so it got our hopes up).

However, when both of us log in through the FAFSA home page to "check and print your student aid reports" it says that our EFC has not been calculated. Is the EFC on the confirmation page most likely right, even though the EFC is not on out student aid reports???

Also, do siblings coming from the same household usually get the same EFC, or something similar?

It sounds like there may be a problem. Look at your reports again. What does it say in the comment section? If you don't have an EFC on your Student Aid Report, there is a problem somewhere. EFC's will calculate if all is well ... if they do not calculate, there is a problem.

Pull up both of your SAR's. Print them out (not just the confirmation page ... the whole thing). Check EVERYTHING on it ... especially names, social security numbers, AGI, income from work, and taxes paid. What does it say in your comment code section? Is there a message about something not matching or something missing?

Post back here & I will try to help you figure it out.

P.S. Did you each sign your FAFSA with your own PIN and with your parent's PIN?
