SUPER Wierd EFC... Mistake?

On my SAR it says in the notes that my EFC is 0 .

This can't be right, I will be the only kid in college in my family of four and our total income is about 110K...

Am i looking at the wrong spot... is there an error?

I'm really confused....

You may want to review the information you submitted, because with an income of 110k, having a zero EFC is bizarre. I honestly think there may be a type or incorrect data on the FAFSA

Are there any error messages?

mine is weird too. i’m in a single parent family of 3. my moms gross income is 80k yet my efc says 58k

Perhaps you typed in “100K” instead of “100,000”.

Double check everything against your tax info - line by line. Also, make sure you aren’t adding in 401k accounts. Both of you need to review your info - neither EFC seems correct. However, it’s possible they might be - I can’t see all you info.

If you can, go to College Bowl Sunday this weekend. You will be able to have the help of a financial aid professional.

What is College Bowl sunday?

Oops … can’t believe I typed “Bowl!” It’s “Goal.”

Check the map to see if there are any near you. If you can go, take all your info (taxes, W2’s, bank & investment info, etc).

i figured out my mistake.
i accidentally added an extra 0 in one of the numbers. which made a HUGE difference!

An extra 0 would do that. Glad you figured it out.

my stepfathers gross income is 115k.
mothers is 0k.

efc is 18k - i have a twin though.

Gigo…

Hahaha, too bad it was a mistake. It would have been sweet to get a full ride. Lol. Just kidding.
