<p>Okay, so D has her UMN e-mail yet is having trouble adding the UMN facebook group. I'm not sure what the exact issue is but I thought I'd ask here what others are finding?</p>
<p>haha, I had the same problem. You need to go to the groups section on Facebook and then probably look up "University of Minnesota Class of 2012" of something of the sort if nothing shows up at first. U of Minn is a bit disorganized; they kept moving their Facebook so now there are 4 of them, all with about the same people, lol. Actually here are all the names:</p>
<p>1) Admitted to University of Minnesota Twin Cities Class of 2012 (probably the most used)
2) UMN Class of 2012 (very rarely used so maybe you don't need that one, most people have left it now)
3) University of Minnesota Twin Cities Class of 2012 (the last group formed, supposed to be the official one but hasn't really gotten running yet)</p>
<p>4) University of Minnesota Twin Cities Freshman 08'</p>
<p>Just out of curiosity, is your daughter going to try to find a roommate on Facebook or get assigned? I'll probably get assigned.</p>

<p>I think she means the <a href="mailto:accountid@umn.edu">accountid@umn.edu</a> type of email. All U of M students get one.</p>
<p>Believer, I think what you are talking about is the UMN Network. If so, you have to search though the networks I believe I went onto my profile and clicked on networks. I don't remember exactly how I got there, but it wasn't all that difficult to get to the search networks page. Then be sure she clicks on Colleges and go to Minnesota for the state and follow it down until University of Minnesota. Then click add, type in her e-mail where it asks and then go to her university e-mail and click the confirmation link in the e-mail that is from facebook in the inbox. That should work. If you need help PM me and I will write a better procedure out.</p>
