I know they are both excellent in ChemE (#5 and #7 in the rank), but should I go with UW because of its better national/engineering ranks? How big is the quality difference?
Money is not a problem, but UMN would be much cheaper, and I liked the campus better.
Also, which one is the best in terms employability? Any advice welcome, please.
Both will give you a great education. Go to the school you like best, especially if it is cheaper for you. College is so much more than just your major and academics. Enjoy the experience. There are always plenty of MN and WI residents who prefer one over the other, you are fortunate to be accepted to both.
UMN is a powerhouse in ChemE. If it’s cheaper and you like the university better, there re no reason not to choose it. Congratulations!
