UMN vs VT vs UNL.

Hello.
I’m a future international student and currently deciding between these three universities. My major of interest is computer science or engineering. A time to decide is coming to an end and I would be really glad if you help me.
VT. I’ve been accepted to College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, but it would be quite a toll for my family to pay for VT each year. We are still considering it, but in order to study at VT I must find a part-time job and do my best in order to receive a scholarship of any kind.
UMN. We can afford to pay for UMN, but the problem is that I was admitted to CS major in College of Liberal arts instead of CSE. There is a chance that they will change my college until the end of the next week, but I don’t really believe in it.
UNL. University of Nebraska - Lincoln gave me 14500$ scholarship, but the problem is that I’ve been accepted to General studies. I don’t really know anything about this university and especially about major changing within it, so I would like to know, should I even consider this option?
Any kind of advice regarding my situation would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Go with CS in CLA. You’ll take the same basic classes but will have space for a minor, which can come in handy - or you’ll be able to take more specialized classes if you prefer.
Another big difference, the fact you’d have to take foreign language classes, actually works in your favor since as an international student it means 3 classes out can take in anything you want, business, CS, math…
