Hello all,
Who else is super excited to hear back by the end of January? Let's have some fun.

Funny thing is that I’m not nerve-wracked about it. Prolly will crank up the nerves when everybody else at school starts talkin about it in late January. Right now, my calculus (note i typed that in lower case letters…the dreg class that it IS!) ‘classss’ is starting to kill me.

the ks.

Yeah, I’m not that super nervous about it either. I have already been accepted to my back-up school, so no worries. But I’m with you kitesurfer! I will be taking Calculus 2 this semester!!! YIKES!

I’m not too nervous, but it’d be nice to get in since I was deferred to my other EA school. I don’t have to deal with Calc this year (slew that dragon last year), but Physics is killing me right now.

I’m super excited too and haha my ap calc class is killing me too! This semester needs to end ASAP, and the end of January needs to get here already! UNC is calling our names guys

Where have you guys heard back from so far? I’ll start.
Accepted: Tulane, Pitt, Michigan
Denied: Stanford, Miami HPME

I applied RD everywhere except Carolina with the EA, so I won’t hear for three more years, now, seemingly. I started working on the darned Common Apps waaaaay back in OCTOBER and I still didn’t finish the last one until yesterday, one day ahead of the deadline, at one school. Crazy. The Common App gave me nightmares and anorexia. After each ‘page’, there’d be another. I prayed for them to end.

the ks.

I just want to know is I got in or not! Either way! I just wish I knew! Am I the only one?

anyone know the exact date yet? hopefully its before January 31st (UVa’s moment of truth…) double rejection/deferral on the same day would kill me; at the same time, double acceptance would be fun!

@stealthy
It would be reasonable to expect to hear by the afternoon on the 27th. They like to release on friday afternoons.
Did anyone else on here apply EA to UVa (other than me and Stealthy)

Is there anyone else who feels really good about their chances but this wait is killing them? I’ve been reduced to writing hopeful quotes for admission on my phone now that the creeping insecurities of the last month have started to creep in.

I’m super nervous! I think I’ve checked the admissions site at least a million times just in case something happened…oh the fun.

I applied EA and I’m super excited/nervous for the results! Does anyone know if they just accept and defer? Or do they also reject? This wait is awful…

They accept, reject, and defer for EA.

I applied to Michigan, UVA, and UNC all for EA. I got deferred from Michigan, so I am kind of expecting the same results from UNC and UVA. I really hope I get in, the 31rst is going to be a big day! I am OOS so I am really nervous.

@Rschwarz94, we applied EA to all of the same places, and I’m also out of state. Additionally, I did EA at stanford. Good luck at both UVa and UNC

@ilikefoood Did you get in at Michigan?

lol, they should call it “Early Application” - the earliest! As for action, it’s kinda late, maybe “medium action.” But somehow, “action” doesn’t seem like the right word. How about “somnolence”? “Hibernation?” “Rousing”? “Early Awakening?”

Hello all,
How does UNC notify us? Will portal change, or is it snail mail?

I agree that this notification process is taking a weird amount of time. Virginia and UNC all have really late periods. U of M got back to me before the year ended.
