<p>Does it makes sense to have both on a wish list? They seem to have much in common to be with regard to balance of fun and academic caliber of students, but while the odds are very slightly better for my d at our sates "flagship". we are also talking about UNC- Chapel Hill becuase of the higher population of Black students ( sorry, it matters to me ), and it's just a little bit smaller. I know it may not be "worth it" to pay OOS tuition, but OOS at UNC-Chapel Hill is still cheaper than a private without aid ( and we are not expecting any).We have family there, and trying a more southern coulture may be an intersting change from my d's suburban California one. BTW, she is a relatively high achieving URM from a small Chrisitan School she has attended since she was 4 1/2.</p>
