My GPA is 3.75 (unweighted) with a couple of honors classes. I got a 1490 on the SAT, 760 on Biology SAT II and Physics SAT II scores are pending. The bulk of my extracurriculars is community service a couple of hours a week. I was wondering what my chances of getting into Chapel Hill are seeing as not many kids from my school apply so I don’t have much of a reference. I am from New York so I’m out-of-state but I go to a very competitive school from which students are generally accepted with slightly lower GPA’s than normal.
any ap’s? and is that 1490 cr + m or all 3, if its all three then you definitely have a problem there. Is there anything youve done to maek you stand out or be unique? Class Rank? Do you have any leadership positions? How many hours of community service do you have? Sports? Clubs? Awards? Can you pay full tuition, I know UNC is need blnid for in state but im not sure about OOS.
I have two ap’s. The 1490 is out of 1600 because I was told to mainly focus on my score out of 1600 but got 2180 out of 2400. I spend a lot of time reading the classics and writing short stories idk how unique that makes me tho. My school also does not do class rank. I’m helped create a club with a couple of kids and I’m actually doing a community service trip to Uganda through the club with a couple of its other founders. I would I do about 2-3 hours of community service a week. Also I can pay full tuition.
Since UNC Chapel Hill is a state school, it’s much harder to get in out-of-state. Your UW GPA is slightly low. Your SAT looks pretty good, try getting it up more if you want a good shot at getting in.
