UNC class of 2019 EA thread

@annakc96 Don’t get your hopes up for a midnight decision, that has not happened in the past.

Got an e-mail!

E-mail received! The home stretch has hit us! Wooooooo! Praise the Lord

Me and my mom are watching Wheel of Fortune and one of the phrases was “Letter of Acceptance” I hope to God that was a sign  Good Luck everyone!!!

I finally received it! Praise Tengri!

I just looked at last year’s UNC college confidential thread. It appears as if the blog post came first, at around noon. Then, the emails were sent out that night. On the next day, the decisions were released at around 3:00-3:30pm. I couldn’t figure out what time because of a gap in the posts. So hopefully we will receive our decisions tomorrow!

@phillysportsfan I hope so!

I hope hope hope they’re released tomorrow!

Seriously though good luck y’all. I’m so excited.

For the people doubtful of these physical paper letters, I was on Instagram scrolling through #UNC and someone posted a picture other acceptance. Username emilynotini. It was specific to the law program, so I guess UNC did send out certain ones.

Just trying to be helpful, I didn’t believe in the letters either

@hnef27‌ I saw that, but that’s not for an undergraduate program, so I think UNC’s holding true to what they said about no paper copies for us! So I think a lot of the people on here were in fact being facetious, unless they applied for a professional program. Sorry for the long response, haha, I’m nervous about tomorrow, and this is what I do!

Guys, I’m so nervous, I just want to get deferred or rejected already. Well, not that I want it, but I’m not expecting anything so I can save my soul from sorrow!

Currently reviewing my common app and noting all the things I could have worded better and how I ordered my 10 activities wrong.

UNC broke its record in the number of first-year applicants. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions reported 31,848 first-year applicants, a two percent increase from last year. The University received applicants from 99 counties in North Carolina, all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and 113 countries outside of the U.S. The is the 10th record breaking year in a row.

I keep thinking about all the things I could’ve written better on my application. And there’s a grammatical error in one of my essays! I proofread it a billion times, and so did my counselor, but we both missed it :frowning:

well im currently rethinking my decision to write my essay about when I defecated on myself in 2nd grade…

Guys, I was honestly considering making a post called, “used a hyphen instead of a dash–am I screwed?” I’m being 100% serious.

Also, it’s only 500 or so more people this year, and we still don’t know how many were EA, so maybe we still have hope.

@freetogive me too!! I’m starting to think about what I could’ve done and wondering if my application is good enough

Guys, think about it like this. If we all have things we think we could’ve done better, then many other people could be too, so technically we’re all on the same level.
