Very surprised by this. I really can’t foresee them releasing decisions over spring break so I would think it’s Friday, but then again it seems odd to release them on Good Friday…so who really knows. Tbh I don’t think the office even knows, UNC really likes to take their time and compare everyone.
I’m honestly not even getting my hopes up… I feel like it’ll be next week. I hope to sweet baby jesus that I am mistaken, but I just don’t have hope anymore lol
I don’t think the school is open on Friday so I’m guessing next week. They’ve already had their spring break so next week is a regular week for them.
Good Friday and spring break seem equally unlikely. It’s anybody’s guess at this point. Is anybody else missing deadlines on scholarships, preferred housing, etc. at other schools in waiting on this decision? That’s the real frustrating part of all this for me, especially if I get denied.
I’m an in state student who got deferred in the EA round. This might sound like a dumb question but will the admissions know who deferred students are or will they come up as regular applicants? So anxious about decisions! I’m running out of patience haha
i thought unc already had their spring break and was back in school already
I remember an admissions officer from another school who visited my HS said that they’ll know if you applied EA. There’s usually something marked on your app that says that. The AO said that (at least for their university) it signified interest, which was why they recommended applying EA.
@a1h313 I don’t think the decision release is contingent upon UNC’s spring break, but rather spring break for most high schools in NC (which begins next week), since apparently they usually like getting decisions out before NC residents go on vacation/out of the country. I read that somewhere

Waiting for this decision has been one of the most nerve racking experiences I’ve encountered since I submitted the app. I’m not going to be able to sleep until I hear some answers X_X
@Prudentstudent98 I know, it’s been giving me a lot of stress lately, and it’s the last thing that I need
AHHH, just put us out of our misery, for heavens sake! -_- can’t sleep because of not knowing.
Also, am I the only one who’s been stalking the admin Twitter feed and creepily reading way too much into everything they do?
Since it seems like a lot of y’all are OOS, I’ll try to ask my counselor today if he’s heard anything - sometimes they know beforehand (he did for EA.)
I’m honestly gonna be mad if they wait until the very last day of March
