did anyone get scholarship notifications in their packet?
The packet had letters for each offer extended to my DS which included his scholarship offer.
Son received packet today which included general acceptance letter, Honors Carolina letter, and Excel letter regarding his acceptance into Carolina Research Scholars program.
@phokie congratulations to your son! Did he received email notifications of all these acceptances last week or were any of these new?
He initially received emails for general acceptance and the research scholars program. Nothing for Honors Carolina. Having read here on CC that many had already received the Honors invite, we assumed that he was not going to be invited. Then magically, a few days later, the Honors email appeared. This was all followed up yesterday with the mail packet.
Still nothing in the mail…
Received my package today (OOS). Honors Carolina, Research Fellowship, and Acceptance all inside. Nothing about merit scholarships, though. Does anyone know if that means I’m not going to receive one at all, or are they still sending those out? UNC is one of my top choices especially now that I got honors, but I need at least a little bit of merit aid to get there
college admissions letters take a long time. I live 30 min from ann arbor and it took me 3 weeks to receive my umich acceptance letter in the mail. even out of state ppl got theirs earlier than me!

Direct admit to Kelley & Honors @IU, VSB & Honors @Villanova (let’s not mention the basketball game), BBA Scholars & Honors at SMU and UGA Honors (really cheap). I’m not asking for much (or fireworks on the portal), but a nice “Congratulations” letter for my DS in the mail would be a nice touch.
Received letter today (addressed to husband and I) from Chancellor’s office congratulating us on son’s admittance. Dated 2/2 and postmarked 2/6. Son received the admissions packet on Monday (2/6). We are IS. The packets and all correspondence seem to be making their way out. Hope everyone’s packets/ letters arrive soon.
Still have not received anything in mail and we are IS - about 40 min from UNC. Delays could be due to the entire town of Chapel Hill almost shutting down for the weekend due a water main break on Friday.
Us too! IS - about 2-1/2 hours west and still nothing in mail. Any chance that we could be pleasantly surprised with the package if my son hasnt received any email other than the acceptance email? So frustrating! At least we put the deposit in at Granville Towers!

I received a letter inviting me to the Admitted Students Day events but no acceptance package. I’m IS, about 45 minutes away.
I just got an email asking me to submit midyear grades. Is this normal? MyCarolina says I’m accepted.
Yeah @orwellparasiempre. They want midyear grades from everyone who is accepted or deferred or still waiting on a decision. They’re just making sure we’re still doing okay in school.
