However, for midyear grades on Connect Carolina, since I have block scheduling and I don’t have any grades for my second semester courses, I just left those blank (which the form instructed you to do). However, their email about submitting your midyear grades said to put course in progress in the additional tab if you are still taking that course. Did I do this wrong or will they assume that the courses I left blank (without a course in progress in description) are the ones I’m taking right now in second semester?
@orwellparasiempre We just saw that! I think we’ll hold them hostage until we get an official letter in the mailbox!
@MissSuzyQ , it is best if you do not leave that blank because in the email, they instruct you to put “course in progress” for that course in the spot where you explain why you did not take the/finish the course/have a grade for the course yet once you click on a course to report your grades and anything useful concerning your grades. You can click the “save and return” button at the main menu for midyear grades section.
But do not leave it blank because they might inquire you again because you did not explain why you have no grade for that course or why you are not taking it. Plus, midyear grades are not necessarily second semester grades. Usually, they are first semester grades, which you probably got by now.
Once you addressed that problem by putting in “course in progress”, you can submit your mid-year grades. I hope this helps!
About the stuff not getting to us in the mail yet for In-State people; it is probably because of the leak in Chapel Hill and they probably did out-of-state people first since those take longer to deliver due to being out-of-state, so we might get our stuff very soon (couple of days from now to the end of this month). Also, remember to check the Financial Aid to-do list since if you do not do the tasks they require you do to do before you get financial aid information, then you will most likely not get any news due to that.
We are IS and have received all letters in the mail so there was no sort of the letters to have OOS sent first.
We also didn’t receive anything (in CA). Did anyone receive a request to enter mid year grades? My son got an email yesterday and was asked to submit grades by Feb 17th.
We are OOS and have not received anything in the mail.
Same @HSCounselor2. Some schools rolls out decisions and mailings by school divisions or programs. OOS engineering admit here.
Maybe that is the reason. My daughter admitted to MJ School. Thanks
My bad, I just have not received anything but Admitted Day letter; that is it in state
@maroonsun7 i received an email last week inviting me to interview for the pogue scholarship
.
@srk2017 - we got the request for midyear grades too. DD used first trimester grades to complete it.
In state and nothing in our mailbox yet
They prob send them out in batches. Most of the ppl unc accept are in state so there’s going to be a delay in the mass volume of in statr acceptance letters
OOS (CA) and have received nothing.
Nothing in NJ either
@collegemomjam, I live in NJ and received mine a few days ago. They are probably going out in waves.
My DS received the admissions letter today (in CA). No additional info besides what’s on portal
In-state and still no letter
