@my3sonshines my OOS twin sons were deferred EA and waitlisted, one business, one science. Many here with similar stats 33 ACTs and 1420-1430, AP classes, etc. Another record year for apps (many schools this year). I believe they both accepted a spot on the waitlist but realistic too. I still remember when we visited last year and our group had TX, MN, CO, DE and NJ families in the room.
Accepted - Biology (as a international student). ^^
Rejected OOS 3.87 nw 4.43 w and a 1490 with strong extracurricular. Thoroughly disappointed but what can you do

Waitlisted- OOS Communications 4.22W GPA and 32 ACT… I declined the waitlist so someone just moved up a spot…good luck!
Has UNC posted the official admissions stas this year?
I’m IN!!! I’m an international and gaped 1 year. Sociology. I paid my enrollment deposit already.
Couple things I wanna ask:
- I didn’t write the survey for Excel@Carolina (I didn’t expect getting in), and I write an email to ask to submit it to admission office if possible. Is that possible? If so, when can we know about their decisions on Excel program?
- Since I submit the deposit, am I officially enrolled? No other actions required? As an international, I know I have to submit Certifcate of Finances and passport to get F1 Visa. But what else?
Wish all of you enjoy the rest of your senior years, I’m looking forward to being with you next four years in Carolina.

The Sunday after Admissions was when Honors Carolina was released for EA with many more other Excel opportunities coming that Monday. Wonder if that will be the case for RD.
Happily declined my position on the waitlist for UNC OOS today!!

biology waitlisted…this is so frustrating since UNC is my top choice…I’m staying on the waitlist, but I’m afraid hope is meager

@ktmorelikeqt It should have specified the scholarship you received in the email. It did for me when I got my invite

does anyone know how many applicants are put on the waitlist and then how many are accepted off the waitlist?
@madison2000 It depends on the amount of space UNC has, so there’s no definite number. One year it could be there’s no movement at all on the waitlist while one year they take some.
I am an OOS student who was just accepted as a PoliSci major (36 ACT/ 4.15 W/ 1550 SAT). I am apparently a Research Scholar through an Excel@Carolina. Does this mean I am into the Honors College? If not, do I still have to apply or am I just not in? Thanks!
@pearls36 You do not apply for Honors Carolina. No, you should be receiving an email. Although, I do not know if it has been released yet.
When will admitted students of RD Round know if they’re in Excel@Carolina or Honor Carolina?
