@AcademiaSavvy The email you all received yesterday letting you know ‘the decision isn’t coming out today or tomorrow’ has been the signal for the past 3 decision day cycles (including my D in January for the EA decision).

Deferred applicants from the EA pool are reviewed only after they select applicants from the regular decision pool. @bsms2018

All deferred applicants from EA are reviewed along with the RD applicants - not after they select applicants from the regular decision pool. It isn’t mentioned specifically on the UNC website but others (such as NC State) have the following: “We review all applications using the same admissions criteria regardless of when you apply. There is no competitive disadvantage for applicants who apply early and have their admission decision deferred until final review.”
Listen, all of our decisions are made and are sitting in that admissions office. It is and has been out of our hands now, and what will Be is what is meant to be. We will all go to a great school regardless even from just applying to this school. Good luck!!!
