Help me decide between university of miami, honors program with scholarship and unc neither scholarship nor honors program. I am from Texas and my goal is medical school

go to the easiest school, cheapest school where you can get the highest gpa and have money for med school. GPA and mcat Seems to be most impt.

I chose UNC with the same offer from UM, but my goal isn't medical school. You're going to have debt either way, but if UM is cheaper, I'd say it might be a better decision to go there.

One of my best friends got into some great schools such as UNC, UVA, and UC Berklee, but went to Miami because he got a full ride and would be able to graduate nearly two years early. It is not the right school for him by any means, so he really doesn't enjoy it. Easiest and cheapest route to med school may be UM, but consider where you'll fit in best too.

If you think you would enjoy going to school at Miami and you are absolutely sure you want to go to med school, then go there, because it's cheaper and will be easier to get a good GPA, which is priority #1 for med school. Keep in mind that a pretty sizable percentage of people who enter college intending to be pre-med end up switching to something else though. If that's what happens to you, you'd probably find yourself better off at UNC, which has stronger programs across the board than Miami. Good luck.

How are you still deciding? wasn't the deadline may 1st?
