@wallowant I didn’t recieve several e-mails, but I did recieve an email about a month ago from a “student”. He was first gen (like me), majoring in political science ( my intended major), and was apart of the Carolina Covanent ( I’m also low income). He was also an URM just like I am. He told me to make sure I fill out my FAFSA and CSS before March 1st but I actually turn mine in like two weeks before, so I don’t think the email came from the fin aid office. At first I took that as a sign that I got in because the last line said something along the line of " you have people on campus ready to assist you", but I haven’t recieve an email since then, so I’m kinda nervous.
@BeStillMyHeart ; I received the same e-mail from a student who was involved with the Carolina Covenant. I think those e-mails go out to everyone who turned in a FAFSA/CSS and was considered to be low-income.
@NCGirl25697 IDK, I turned in my CSS and FAFSA on Jan. 25th. I received the email around Feb. 20th telling me to make sure I turn in my FAFSA/CSS by March 1st. I’m not gonna speculate anymore. I’m just gonna wait.
Not to get anyone’s hopes down, but Chapel Hill does not give hints via emails or other means besides your decision letter. This has been proven many times in the past. It is likely that these letters were for other means and are not an indication of your acceptance.
Heard from a pretty reliable source that it’s Friday. Although ED did get their decision Wednesday so there might be a small chance it comes out tomorrow.
Ehh… they’ll come out when they come out. A few days difference really won’t matter. People on CC like to know every detail of decision release dates down to the seconds lol
