UNC v. UMich - PoliSci

I recently was accepted at UNC-CH as well as UMich. I’m interested in studying political science, so I am wondering what people recommend. From what I’ve read, UMich seems to have a stronger program in poli sci, but I’m not sure if I’m just looking at graduate school rankings. Moreover, UNC’s Peace, War and Defense major seems really interesting, and I would probably double major in that and polisci if I end up going to UNC. I also prefer the feel of UNC, but I’m not sure if UMich’s superior ranking outweighs that. Finally, I’m planning on going to grad school afterwards, so does that diminish the importance of my undergraduate school’s prestige? Thanks!

Any differences in ratings between UMich and UNC are slight. Go where you feel most comfortable, if you can afford each.

Agree with ED–both are strong schools academically and both have top notch political science departments. Are you in-state for either? That makes a big difference, as you know, for tuition.
