I’m currently a rising senior who recently toured both UNC Chapel Hill and NSCU which are both impressive schools. They both fit what I’m looking for: a big in-state college with a reasonable tuition fee and great science departments.
As of right now, I’m interested in pursuing a career in medicine and hope to attend medical school after college.
I’ve heard that it is harder to get into UNC’s med school if you go to UNC for undergrad, but my mother is encouraging me to go to UNC to network and gain contacts since the med school and undergrad college are on the same campus.
However, the human biology major at NCSU (which I do not believe is available at UNC) really interests me since that’s the only part of bio that I really enjoy. Also, I’ve been told that the curriculum at NCSU is more manageable/easier than UNC’s.
Is there any other information that would help me with my decision between the two schools?
