Hey guys, have to make my decision in the next 10 days and would really appreciate input from those who have been in the business school at UNC.
I’m from Florida, got into UF Honors, and I’ve been a Gator fan my whole life. I always thought I would go there, but I was really blown away when I visited UNC. I loved the campus and thought the business school was super impressive.
I guess my main question is - From those who have been through/are going through Kenan-Flagler, do you think that UNC would be a significant step up from UF in terms of the academic experience as well as job placement?
Also, while saving the money would certainly be nice, I’m fortunate enough to be in a position where my parents can send me to either place and genuinely want me to pick the school I like the best.
In a word, yes. Kenan-Flagler is consistently regarding as one of the top 10 undergraduate business schools in the country. If your parents can truly provide that opportunity for you without burdening themselves, I would take it!! Both are great schools though. KF just has exceptional placement.
Keep in mind that you cannot apply to the business school until all the pre-requisites are completed. My son was also accepted and is coming out of another business school so this is something he has been struggling with in terms of transferring. That being said, 50 percent of those who apply to the business school get in but priority is given to those that have the pre-requisites as opposed to those that are finishing them up when they apply. But you can apply in both the Fall and spring even if you are finishing up pre-reqs. Just curious what impressed you the most about the business school? We are visiting in a few weeks, any suggestions?
