Congratulations! It’s nice to get to celebrate with the same people we’ve been fretting with.

WOW!! CONGRATULATIONS to ActingDad and Londream!!! Awesome acceptances!!! :)

I must have had my head in snow (really did) to miss all this good news!
Congratulations to Londream and ActingDad’s D. All this hard work has come to fruition, this is so inspiring to see. I’m very excited for both of you! Looking forward to lots more good news for all of our D’s and S’s and student members.

Congrats to all of the UNCSA admissions.

Wonderful school, Wonderful program.

This is according to my daughter who went there for the summer acting program, and my son who is a dancer and who has friends that attended the high school and college dance program and loved it.

Congratulations ActingDad and Londream! Great news, great program and the weathers better too!

Thanks to everyone. My daughter spent all night researching UNCSA alumni. There was a lot of – Wow – I didn’t realize she/he went to UNCSA – do you realize what else he/she did …

Ughh. The anticipation is killing me. I’m at Rutgers for callback weekend right now and I know that my letter of acceptance/rejection is waiting for me in my P.O. box on campus. I’m in the high school drama program at UNCSA and it’s my top choice. We’ll know on Monday when I get back…
Fingers crossed!

Actually I just checked my EZ Arts account…and like ActingDad’s D mine says “UNCSA Admit Decision”!!! I’m ecstatic.

Congrats!!!IsaacMt!!!

Congratulations IsaacMT! How about the others from your high school? Did the ones with you now get in too? How’s the Rutgers call back weekend going?!

Congrats IsaacMT! How many kids are at the Rutgers call back weekend and have you gotten any info about how many they expect to admit from the call backs versus without call backs? This is no longer the big stress issue for us but I’m sure there are others who would love to have some clarity to this process.

A big congrats to ActingDad’s daughter, Londream and IsaacMT! Such wonderful news for you after such a long process. It surely makes whatever is left to come much easier to wait for! Happy for you!

Thanks Susan. I really appreciated your insight at the beginning of this process. At some point I’m going to make a wrap up post but its not too soon to say I owe a big thanks to CC in getting through this process.

Well I believe there are about 40 of us here. That includes BFA and MFA candidates. We’re all waiting to show
a monologue to the faculty now. We started the day with a movement class and a voice/speech class. They were great! The rest of the weekend will be filled with socials and classes run by faculty. There’s no word on how many will be admitted from callbacks/without callbacks but I’ve heard of a few people who were put on the wait list who did not receive a callback.

Thanks, IsaacMT. I’m glad they’re making it a good experience for you. If you do happen to hear a definite answer about whether people can be admitted without a callback, several of us would love to hear.

Congrats to IsaacMT!! Such wonderful news around this thread now!!

Acceptance letter finally arrived today. I know its silly but when BookOwl said on another thread that her son got his letter two days ago I just got a tiny bit of panic until I could actually see it on paper.

We want to set up a visit and sit in on classes. I know there were some posts on this thread from parents of students at UNCSA. If anyone has some insight as to the best what to set this up, I would like to hear. She was just going to contact one of the faculty members who she auditioned with. I was thinking it would be a good idea for her to sit in on some Freshman level classes as well as some upper level classes just to get a feel of the progression.

ActingDad, we are equally superstitious about getting the letter…my son is still half afraid he misunderstood his phone call from Otterbein yesterday! So glad that you guys will visit NCSA; sounds like a great fit for your girl.

ActingDad, we tried to visit while there were performances that we were interested in seeing that way your daughter can visit classes during the day and see thoses students perform at night. (My daughters attend UNCSA in Design and Production). On April 4th, 5th and 6th there are two great shows going on: 'Tis Pity She’s a Whore (a 4th year production) and The Dragon (a 3rd year production) or the following weekend there is: The Dragon or La Dispute (a 4th year workshop directed by the new Dean of Drama). You can’t go wrong with either weekend. Hope this helps.

TechnicalMom. How do your girls like the department? I am in for Makeup and Wig Design like to get your input ?
