Hi, I am auditioning for the high school program at UNCSA for my senior year of high school and I just wanted to know if anyone knew about how many uprising seniors audition for the program and how many are accepted? Also, I currently live in Colorado and saw on the application that they said that only a limited-number of out-of-state students are accepted and I was curious to know about what percentage or ratio of applicants that would be? Once you send in your application, how soon are you notified about an audition time?

Also, if anyone has auditioned, I would love to hear about your experience!

A friend of my daughter’s went to NCSA for junior and senior year of high school for ballet/dance, and she does not live in North Carolina.

I had a friend who was accepted there for dance as well who lived in New Jersey, but I wasn’t sure if the standards were different for each department! I am about to send in my application. Does anybody know how soon you are notified about what day you audition? Since it doesn’t say on the website, do we need to bring anything to the audition (copy of application, extra head shots, extra resume, sheet music, etc.)?

I’m applying too, but I’m in state!

Hi, I am currently a student in the UNCSA High School program. I am from Chicago, IL and am one of three (out of 21 students in the program) not from NC. I hate to say it, but the time between auditions and when you hear is excruciatingly long. However, GOOD NEWS: Rumor has it that due to budget issues, the program is looking to accept a higher percentage of out of state students, which means that although they normally only accept 4 out of state students, the number for next year will likely be higher. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
